What is a Home/ Land blessing?

A Home blessing is very similar to a home smudging (Check out Smudging page). The only difference is that a added ceremony will take place with the intention of bringing new beginnings and blessings after the smudging of the building. A temporary altar dedicated to the building will be built to give offerings and thanks. I will supply all of the necessary supplies for the altar, owners are also welcome to add their own unique objects to show appreciation too.

In a land blessing ceremony we will open sacred space and then we bless each corner of the property and leave special offerings at each one. Once the corners have been blessed we will create a special altar as a offering to the land. It is recommended that the owners speak a few words as a means of showing appreciation for the land, and speak about the visions they have for the land, and in doing so ask for permission ahead of time. In this way you are acknowledging the land and expressing your gratefulness. Once everything has been done we will close sacred space.
Why do a blessing ceremony?
A Blessing should be performed for a house/ building because its way of saying "Thank you and I acknowledge you!" to the "spirit" of the house, that which provides us shelter and has a strong influence in our lives and even in the next generations lives. A House is made of many materials some of which were living at one point, but when we see a finished house it's easy to forget that. By do a home blessing we can show our appreciation.

A blessing ceremony for the land is done to give thanks to the land and all the living beings and elements on that land. All land no matter the shape, condition or size is Sacred for it is a part of our Mother, Mother Earth. By giving thanks to the land we enter into ancient way of living, a more harmonious way. A land blessing is important if we are choosing to build on that land or change it in any way, and it is never to late to show you appreciation for the land.

A Home blessing can be added to a home smudging for $30. A Land blessing is $50 plus travel fees.

* A $25 non - refundable but transferable to any service provided deposit is required upon booking. Deposits may be applied to a future rescheduling if you miss your scheduled date.
