What is a Smudging?
​
Smudging is a ancient ceremonial and traditional way of cleansing ones being of dysfunctional energies, such as stress, that "Heavy" feeling, intrusive energies and attachments, "Bad luck", "Negativity" etc.... It also serves the purpose of protecting ones being too from such energies. One can be smudged or smudge themselves on a daily basis or as needed. Traditionally a Smudging would take place before ceremonies, family gatherings, before prayer and on sacred occasions. Most commonly White Sage is used, but also many other plants and resins are used, each with its own attributes. Each plant possess its own unique energetic essence, when used in a smudging that plants essence is transferred into the recipients energetic body.
A smudging can be performed on a person, place or object. Each will accumulate energetic patterns that will remain there and interact with its environment, either in a "Positive" or "Negative" way depending on the energies it has come into contact with until cleared. Once the energies have been cleared, a smudging will bless and protect the recipients from dysfunctional energies.
What to expect (Home/ Building)
Before the ceremony starts we will discuss what has been taking place or had taken place in the past in the building. We will walk throughout the building and discuss focus areas. I will also have the owners create a shared intention for the building or even each room, so that we can tune each room or the entire building to a specific frequency. I will leave it up to the owners and residents whether or not they choose to participate in the ceremony, it is highly encouraged that they do so.
We will start by opening sacred space. Once sacred space is open, we will then enter the building and walk in a clock wise path throughout the entire building, through every room and area in the building until we end up at the doorway where we began at. Once finished we will then close sacred space.
Now that the smudging is done the building is now cleansed, blessed and protected from dysfunctional/ "Negative" energies. Keep in mind though this protection does not last forever, especially if you yourself are creating dysfunctional energies within the place, and if the people visiting the building are carrying dysfunctional energies on them, they will leave a energetic "Residue" behind them, which over time can accumulate other dysfunctional energies and effect the environment once again.
It is normal for a place to accumulate dysfunctional energies its just apart of "life" as we interact with others. Imagine a building or even a object being like a human body, as the body is used more it accumulates dirt, the dirt being dysfunctional energies, which then need to be clean away, this is what a smudging does.

A smudging on a building can be done daily, weekly, or even monthly it all depends on how you feel in that environment. It is recommended that it be regular and consistent thing. When a building and even our homes are clear energetically you can feel the difference, being in such a clear place we can be our best "selves" and co-create in a more harmonious manner.
Remember our homes are a sacred place be mindful of who you allow to enter.

Smudging creates a lot of smoke. Pleases keep in mind that this may not be healthy for pets, so please remove any pets before the ceremony begins. Also if you have any smoke detectors please turn them off before the smudging. Also the herbs used in a smudging tend to leave a lasting smell, so please keep this in mind.

The pricing for home/ building smudging will vary due to square feet of the building. A $90 fee starts at 1,100 square feet, with a additional $10 per 250 square feet.

* A $50 non - refundable but transferable to any service provided deposit is required upon booking. Deposits may be applied to a future rescheduling if you miss your scheduled date.
